When people started coming online at 4PM on December 31 we wanted you to feel you were in Murphy, North Carolina, temperature 50 degrees! Great Carolina Blue Sky! The first concert was sold out, 500 people in the lower floor and upper sanctuary areas! We gave blow by blow description of what was going on up to concert time. We even put Paul Simmons drum check on the air LIVE!

Here is what some people said on a forum I posted on www.thepetrazone.net, celinhamatos from Brazil said,
"Yes I'd like to say THANKSSSSSSSSSS for MARK and Alex from AROUND THE WORLD RADIO because they did a good job specially for us that couldnt go to USA and they broadcast the concert for us around the world!!!  When Wayne was talking to Mark I thought here hummmm Rolling Eyes he'll not agree to broadcasting this but for my surprise he said yessssss Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy it was awesome listening the interviews and the shouts out so GOD BLESS YOU GUYS!!! I'm a friend of ATWR.ORG forever!!!"

Petrapraise said, "Mark went beyond 2:45AM (01/01/06) and yea he can talk. Nice guy too. He grabbed me from the stage crew and started interviewing me about doing lights for this concert. I was startled at first, but had fun."

Sue Dempster of Sheboygan, WI, "I'd like to give credit where credit is due to AROUND THE WORLD RADIO and Mark's persistance in not giving up until he obtained permission to broadcast this event...

He had to jump through alot of hoops to be able to do this for all of you. Not only that, but he was on the air from 4 p.m. to 2:45 a.m.! That's straight through, constant live remote broadcasting. I'm a good talker, but boy - Mark can really keep it going! Then you put John on the mic at 2:30 a.m. - the two of them could have keep talking forever! lol!

But seriously - MAJOR KUDOS to Mark and his wife Laurie, and his son Alex for going way above & beyond the call of duty to help all the Petheads who weren't able to attend feel a part."

This was the view from the parking lot of the host church. Right off I-64.

Pastor Fields started www.onfirefamilychurch.org 21 years ago, they moved into the new building July 17, 2005 . . . just in time for December 31!

Tommy was 15 when he got his first Petra album. The Band has meant alot to him over the years. This was the man with a right heart to be . . .

. . . the right host for the final Farewell Concert . . . Pastor as I told you, "there was a miracle in Murphy, and DREAMS DO COME TRUE!" Praise God! Praise God!
